The Bombay High Court's Nagpur bench has intervened in a protest led by Prahar Janshakti Party leader Bachchu Kadu and mandated that he vacate Wardha Road. This protest has been demanding a comprehensive farm loan waiver but has led to severe traffic disruptions.

The protest, known as the 'Maha Elgar Morcha,' has sparked public inconvenience as reported by local newspapers, prompting the court to take suo motu notice. Thousands of protesters, including former Maharashtra minister Omprakash alias Bacchu Kadu, are involved, causing a traffic jam extending 20 km on National Highway 44.

Highlighting the affected route's significance, Justice Rajnish Vyas noted it serves as a critical path for reaching Nagpur airport and the National Cancer Institute. The roadblock infringes upon citizens' fundamental rights to free movement, leading the court to direct Kadu to clear the obstruction. The case is scheduled for further hearing on November 6.
