Four individuals were apprehended following a brazen robbery of gold and silver ornaments from a jeweller in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
The high-value ornaments, estimated at Rs 1.5 crore, have been retrieved, according to police reports. The incident unfolded on Sunday night as the jeweller was en route home from his shop when armed assailants intercepted him, snatching his bags before fleeing the scene.
In related crackdowns, police arrested a member of the infamous KSS gang in Ranchi and thwarted a robbery attempt in Godda district, marking significant progress in tackling organized crime in the region.
