Rajesh Aggarwal Takes Over as Maharashtra's Chief Secretary

Senior IAS officer Rajesh Aggarwal has assumed the role of Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, according to an announcement made by the General Administration Department on Friday. He replaces Rajesh Kumar, whose term extension ends this month.
Aggarwal, of the 1989 Maharashtra cadre, has been serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the department of Administrative Innovation, Excellence, and Good Governance. His extensive experience includes key positions in finance, information technology, and administrative reforms.
Effective immediately, Aggarwal's new tenure will span one year, during which he is expected to lead significant governance initiatives.
