Major Milestone: 11 Naxals Surrender in Gondia

In a pivotal move for law enforcement in eastern Maharashtra, 11 Naxals, among them the notable figure Anant alias Vinod Sayyana, have surrendered. The group holds a cumulative bounty of Rs 89 lakh, significantly impacting the dynamics of the region's security landscape.
At a press conference, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ankit Goyal detailed the surrender, noting that the individuals were part of the infamous Darekasa Dalam, previously the most active faction in the volatile MMC Zone. The capitulation of these members signals a reduction in the operational capabilities of the CPI (Maoist).
The surrendered party included various Naxals such as Pandu Pusu Wadde and Sheila Chamru Madavi. Vinod Sayyana, known for his notoriety and Rs 25 lakh bounty, turned in along with his AK-47 rifle, marking his commitment to rejoining the civilian fold.
