Cannabis Bust Near Itanagar: Man Arrested with Rs 2 Lakh Worth
A man named Santosh Biswas was arrested near Itanagar for possession of cannabis worth approximately Rs 2 lakh. Police discovered 2.2 kg of cannabis stored in a scooter after receiving a tip-off. The vehicle was seized, and Biswas faces charges under the NDPS Act.

In a significant drug bust, authorities apprehended a man with cannabis valued at around Rs 2 lakh near Itanagar, according to statements released by local police on Saturday.
Following a tip-off, law enforcement officials intercepted a scooter at Chandranagar on Friday. A search revealed 2.2 kg of cannabis concealed within four polythene bags in the scooter's boot space, along with Rs 600 in cash.
The rider, identified as Santosh Biswas, was subsequently arrested. The two-wheeler has been seized, and a case has been registered under several sections of the NDPS Act, informed Superintendent of Police Jummar Basar.
