In a close call early Saturday morning, the Superintendent of Police from Beed, Navneet Kanwat, found himself in a precarious situation when his official vehicle collided with a road divider in Kaij town. The incident occurred around 3:30 am near the Kejadi river bridge.
SP Kanwat was returning to Beed from Parli Vaijnath after assessing a firing incident in Vidyanagar. As the vehicle approached Kaij, the driver failed to notice a road divider, leading to a collision. Despite the impact, all occupants, including SP Kanwat, remained unharmed, thanks to their seat belts.
A police escort vehicle following closely behind quickly assisted in getting the SP's vehicle back on the road. A formal accident report was filed at Kaij police station, and the Superintendent continued his journey toward Beed. Relief was evident as SP Kanwat assured the public of his safety and that of his team members.
