Andhra Pradesh's Chief Secretary K Vijayanand's tenure has been extended by three months until February 28, 2026. Upon completion, G Sai Prasad will succeed him starting March 1, 2026. The extension's official order was announced by S Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Political) (FAC).

The Andhra Pradesh government has officially extended the tenure of its Chief Secretary, K Vijayanand. His service period will now continue for an additional three months, concluding on February 28, 2026, according to officials.
The announcement was made by S Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Political) (FAC), who confirmed Vijayanand's extension would begin on December 1, 2025, following the expiration of his current term at the end of November.
Upon the completion of this extended term, G Sai Prasad, an IAS officer from the 1991 batch, will assume the role of Chief Secretary starting March 1, 2026. Prasad is currently holding dual positions as the Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Water Resources Department, and EO Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister.
