On Saturday, right-wing Hindutva groups organized a march to demand the removal of Muslim students from the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence. The demonstrators seek exclusive seat reservations for Hindu students.

Assembling under the Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Sangharsh Samiti banner, the protest began at the Raghunath temple and proceeded towards Indira Chowk. The groups voiced their demands and dispersed peacefully after raising slogans.

The protesters, formed on November 22, aim to submit a memorandum to the government advocating for an amended admission policy to reflect the sentiments of the Hindu community, urging a satisfactory resolution to their issues.
