The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended two individuals in connection to the recent car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort, officials reported this Saturday.
The arrests of Mohammad Asif, an imam at the Bilali mosque, and his associate, Nazar Kamal, were facilitated through a lead derived from call details linked to Dr. Umar Nabi, the primary suspect in the blast case. The duo was detained on Friday night by a joint team comprising NIA and police officials from Delhi and Haldwani.
The incident, which occurred on November 10, involved a high-intensity blast that ravaged a slow-moving vehicle at a traffic signal near Red Fort, leaving 15 dead and numerous others injured. Authorities have since tightened security in key areas and continue with questioning at relevant locations.
