Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reached out to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, offering the state's full support for assisting Indians stranded at Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport due to Cyclone Ditwah.
The cyclone has wreaked havoc, leaving almost 300 Indian travelers, predominantly from Kerala, without essential amenities like food and water for the past three days.
Vijayan emphasized the urgency of the situation, highlighting that many of these passengers were in transit for further travels and are now in a dire situation. He assured that Kerala is prepared to provide all necessary support, urging swift action from the central government.
