The Border Security Force (BSF), alongside the Indian Army, has successfully prevented terrorist infiltration across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir this year, with eight terrorists neutralized and five others pushed back, according to senior BSF officer Ashok Yadav.
Yadav highlighted the strong cooperation between the BSF and the Army, which has ensured the security grid remains intact, particularly during significant events like the Shri Amarnath Yatra. The BSF's remarkable feat, Operation Sindoor, saw effective fire assaults on terrorist launch pads along the LoC.
The deployment of Mahila Troops by the BSF has further enhanced security efforts, playing a vital role in countering anti-national activities and gaining the trust of the local female population. Their presence is crucial in intercepting female couriers associated with terror outfits.
