The Delhi Police have successfully deported 130 foreign nationals as part of 'Operation Clean Sweep' in Dwarka district. This campaign, aimed at curbing illegal immigration and drug trafficking, spanned a month and resulted in numerous arrests.

The deported included citizens from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and other African nations, accused of overstaying their visas or living illegally in rented properties. Authorities conducted extensive verification drives targeting areas known for hosting illegal residents.

Ankit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), revealed that landlords who rented properties without police verification were identified, and over 25 face legal action. The operation also registered several cases under drug and foreigner laws, leading to deportations ordered by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office.
