Oslo Shopping Centre Gunman Detained
Norwegian police arrested a 19-year-old suspect after gunfire was reported at Oslo's largest shopping center. No injuries were found, and the center has reopened. The suspect allegedly fired a shotgun into the ceiling and was also carrying a baseball bat and a knife.
Norwegian authorities have detained a 19-year-old man following reports of gunfire at Oslo's principal shopping destination. The incident prompted an evacuation, but authorities have since declared the facility safe for public entry.
In an official statement, police confirmed they had arrested a suspect who reportedly discharged a single shotgun round into the ceiling.
During a press briefing, police spokesperson Tomm Berger revealed the suspect had initiated a call to law enforcement prior to the shooting and was armed with additional weapons, including a baseball bat and a knife.
