Tamil Nadu Minister K N Nehru has alleged constant targeting by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), stating that the actions are meant to defame him. He asserts his intention to confront the allegations legally.
Reacting to accusations involving a Rs 1,020 crore bribery and tender scam in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, Nehru criticized the ED, accusing it of aligning with opposition parties. He believes they're unable to accept the DMK's accomplishments, particularly in road development and water supply projects.
The minister highlighted the DMK's achievements, including laying 24,752 km of roads and provisioning clean drinking water for over 1.22 crore people in the past five years. He accuses the BJP of using the ED for a politically motivated campaign against DMK's progress.
