An MBA graduate from a prominent university has been arrested in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area for his alleged involvement in theft. The accused, identified as Pradeep Kumar Malik, was found with seven stolen mobile phones and a scooter, according to police reports on Tuesday.
Police caught the suspect, a resident of Palam, near the railway line at DDA Park on November 20. Despite holding a prestigious degree, Malik is presently unemployed and has succumbed to drug addiction, contributing to his turning to crime, officials stated.
Investigators linked Malik to multiple snatching incidents involving a scooter-borne assailant around the Dwarka South area. Surveillance from over 300 CCTV cameras and local informants led to his capture. During questioning, Malik admitted to stealing a scooter and storing stolen phones in its boot, advancing the investigation with recovered evidence.
