Ajay Gupta, a partner in Goa's 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, was brought in for questioning by Delhi's Anti Extortion and Kidnapping Cell. The inquiry relates to a devastating fire that claimed 25 lives, prompting significant legal actions.

Gupta, masked and elusive, was escorted to the Crime Branch office, marking a swift turn of events as Goa Police initiated steps to secure his custody through transit remand. The blaze happened on December 6 in north Goa's Arpora, with Gupta reportedly dodging investigators until recently tracked to a Lajpat Nagar hospital.

Goa Police already apprehended five club staff members, while international notices pursue co-owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, who fled India post-incident. Detailed interrogations regarding Gupta's role in club operations and safety compliance are forthcoming.
