In a recent development, Chinese national Hu Congtai has been deported to Hong Kong after breaching visa directives in Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials here on Thursday.

The 29-year-old faced deportation and blacklisting post forensic scrutiny of his mobile device, after visiting sensitive locations. He arrived in Delhi on November 19, under a tourist visa limited to Buddhist religious sites, yet traveled to Leh without formal registration.

Authorities became suspicious over Hu's internet activities concerning paramilitary locations in Kashmir. Extensive questioning revealed he spent significant time in the USA and claimed ignorance about violating his visa terms. His travel history indicates visits to multiple countries including the US and Brazil.
