On Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presided over the convocation ceremony of police sub-inspectors in Nalanda district, urging them to uphold integrity and honesty in their duties. The event took place at the Bihar Police Academy in Rajgir.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office, Kumar inspected the parade from an open jeep, showcasing the rigorous training the recruits have undergone. He expressed confidence in their ability to perform with integrity, honesty, sensitivity, and discipline, and honored outstanding trainees.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of the training for 1,218 sub-inspectors from the 2023 batch, including 436 women and three pioneering transgender officers. Additionally, Kumar inspected the academy premises, where officials revealed state-approved plans to expand the campus with an additional 22 acres to enhance facilities.
