An email claiming the presence of 'bombs' inside Nagpur District and Sessions Court prompted an immediate police response on Thursday. The authorities launched a thorough search of the premises, although no suspicious objects were found at the time.
The threat, received on the court's official email in the morning, suggested that two RDX-based bombs would soon detonate within the court, located in the Civil Lines area of Nagpur. In response, security measures have been intensified, and officers from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad are conducting a careful inspection of the site.
This incident, according to District Bar Association president Roshan Bagde, has underscored the importance of stringent security protocols, especially in public institutions. While the threat appears to be unfounded, it serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing need for vigilance in safeguarding such crucial entities.
