In a significant crackdown on contraband, Karnataka's DGP for Prisons, Alok Kumar, has ramped up search operations across the state's prisons.
The intensive effort has resulted in the recovery of mobile phones and SIM cards from multiple facilities, including major seizures in Kalaburagi and Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara prison.
The operation has been lauded by authorities, with special mention to SP Anshu Kumar and Jailer Shivakumar, who led the efforts, earning a 30K reward for their success.
