The Ranchi Police have retrieved CCTV recordings from the local Enforcement Directorate's office after a former Jharkhand official accused ED personnel of assault during interrogation in a suspected water supply corruption case.
Amid heightened tensions, the police collected the footage following a complaint of alleged assault filed on January 12. Despite gathering evidence, the Ranchi Police have not released any formal statement regarding the incident.
Simultaneously, allegations by the Opposition leader suggest potential evidence destruction related to corruption accusations involving the state's Chief Minister. Meanwhile, CISF forces were deployed for additional security near the ED office.
