The disturbance occurred in the Lalgarh Mohalla area within Madhupur police station's jurisdiction. Tensions escalated after a youth was allegedly assaulted by members of another community, prompting a retaliatory clash in which stones were hurled from both factions.

Madhupur's sub-divisional police officer, Satyendra Prasad, stated that law enforcement arrived swiftly to control the situation.
