In a significant development, two former members of the banned CPI (Maoist) from Chhattisgarh have surrendered to police authorities in Telangana's Mulugu district, sources confirmed on Thursday.
The individuals, choosing a path of peace, came forward to Eturunagaram ASP Manan Bhat, according to an official police release.
Faced with the promising rehabilitation initiatives facilitated by the Telangana state government, these ex-Maoists have shunned naxalism and embraced mainstream life.
