Elbit Systems, Israel's leading defense firm, announced a substantial increase in 2025 profits, driven predominantly by the military's escalating demand amid the Gaza conflict. The company revealed on Tuesday that its earnings surged to $12.75 per diluted share, a notable jump from $8.76 in the previous year, excluding one-time items. Revenue also rose impressively by 16% to hit $7.9 billion.
In an outstanding performance for the fourth quarter alone, Elbit Systems reported an adjusted earnings figure of $3.56 per diluted share, compared to $2.66 in the same period from the prior year. Quarterly revenue exceeded expectations, crossing the $2 billion threshold for the first time. The order backlog climbed to $28.1 billion, a clear indication of sustained global demand, with orders beyond Israel constituting 72% of the total and over half designated for execution in 2026 and 2027.
Since the onset of the Gaza conflict in October 2023, Elbit Systems has witnessed a persistent rise in the demand for its products and solutions by the Israeli military. The company, speaking on its substantial role in providing critical capabilities to the Israel Defense Ministry and the IDF during Operation Roaring Lion, underscores its strategic partnership with global clientele, notably as tensions with Iran amplify. Elbit also announced a quarterly dividend payout of $1.00 per share.
