Controversy Surrounds Communist Ideal Amid Sabarimala Gold Loss Probe
CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam defended former TDB member K P Sankara Das, arrested in the Sabarimala gold loss cases, as an ideal Communist who wouldn't knowingly do wrong. The investigation continues, with 12 arrests already made. CPI and LDF vow not to protect anyone found guilty.

CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam has come forward in defense of K P Sankara Das, a former member of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), who was arrested in relation to the Sabarimala gold loss cases. Viswam described Das as an 'ideal Communist' who would not willingly engage in wrongdoing.
Speaking to reporters, Viswam expressed confidence in Das's integrity, asserting that party members acknowledge his commitment to ethical conduct. However, he admitted the possibility of inadvertent mistakes and called for the completion of the ongoing investigation.
The investigation, conducted by a Special Investigation Team under the Kerala High Court, has so far resulted in 12 arrests, including two former TDB presidents. Viswam assured the public that the CPI and the Left Democratic Front would not shield any members found guilty during the investigation.
