Supreme Court Orders Swift Resolution in Raja Bhaiya Domestic Violence Case
The Supreme Court has directed the Delhi High Court to resolve a domestic violence case filed by Bhanvi Singh against her husband, Uttar Pradesh MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh, within four months. The trial court's summons had been stayed, and a subsequent hearing is scheduled for February.

The Supreme Court has instructed the Delhi High Court to expedite the resolution of a domestic violence case filed by Bhanvi Singh against her husband, Uttar Pradesh MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh, also known as Raja Bhaiya. The court has set a four-month deadline for the high court's decision, emphasizing the need for timely justice.
A bench consisting of Justices B V Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan noted that the next hearing is scheduled for February 12, where Singh is encouraged to seek an early resolution. The Supreme Court stated that the high court has provisionally stayed the trial court's summons issued to Raja Bhaiya.
The domestic violence complaint, filed at the Safdarjung Enclave police station in Delhi, alleges years of physical and mental abuse. The police report also indicates that the couple has been living separately, with further allegations of harassment from Singh's in-laws.
