Ravinder Deswal, a notorious criminal with about 20 cases against him, was finally apprehended near the Dwarka Expressway after a swift chase, authorities revealed on Tuesday.

Deswal had been a fugitive for two years, eluding law enforcement by frequently changing his location and using acquaintances' names for his mobile phones. Arrested under 'Operation Kavach 12.0,' Deswal was considered a proclaimed offender with multiple non-bailable warrants to his name.

Following intensive efforts by the police, including surveillance of 25 potential hideouts, Deswal was intercepted on January 24. His criminal history includes a 2018 arrest related to a Rs 32 lakh dacoity and involvement in severe crimes like murder and armed robbery across Delhi and Haryana.
