The National Investigation Agency (NIA) intensifies its probe into Kashmir's terror ecosystem with a series of raids. On Monday, searches were conducted at six distinct locations in the districts of Baramulla, Bandipora, and Srinagar, shedding light on potential links to extremist activities.

Officials confirmed operations took place in Rafiabad, Sopore, Bomai, Bandipora, and the Parimpora area of Srinagar. The targeted sites included the residences of individuals with possible affiliations to terrorist activities, notably former Jamaat-e-Islami leader Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh and ex-militant Iqbal Sheikh residing in Bomai.

Additionally, the NIA scrutinized the homes of former government employees Mohammad Munwar Mir in Rafiabad, Farooq Ahmad Peer in Sopore, retired teacher Mohammad Maqbool Mir in Bandipora, and Zahoor-ul-Raheem in Parimpora, as the agency advances its investigation.
