A tragic incident unfolded in Jijoli village when a middle-aged man allegedly killed his 12-year-old son over a marital dispute. The accused, identified as Rajesh, reportedly fled the scene after hiding the child's body in a trunk, according to local police.
The altercation appeared to stem from a long-standing domestic conflict with his wife, Urmila, over property issues. On Monday morning, while Urmila was at her teaching job, Rajesh remained at home with their son, Mayank. Upon her return, Urmila found bloodstains and discovered Mayank's body, prompting her to alert the authorities.
The Rural Superintendent of Police, Anuj Chaudhary, confirmed that a murder case has been registered based on Urmila's complaint. Preliminary investigations suggest that the child was killed with a sharp weapon. Police teams have been dispatched to locate Rajesh as further inquiries are conducted.
