In a decisive breakthrough, five members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been apprehended following the murder of businessman Vaibhav Gandhi in Delhi's Bawana area. The suspects were intercepted by police, leading to a brief exchange of gunfire during which one suspect was injured and subsequently overpowered.
Gandhi, a plastic granules manufacturer, was shot in cold blood near his factory on February 9 after resisting an attempted robbery. His attackers fled on motorcycles, and a social media post attributed to the gang later claimed responsibility, indicating the murder was conducted on behalf of multiple criminal groups.
The police operation concluded without officer injuries, but highlighted the continuing influence and coordination between organized crime networks in the region. A significant amount of money was recovered from Gandhi's car, underscoring the potential motives behind the violent encounter.
