In a remarkable achievement, 16 candidates from Jammu and Kashmir have successfully cleared the UPSC 2025 civil services examination. This marks the joint highest number ever from the region, with results announced on Friday by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have both extended their heartfelt congratulations to the aspirants. Sinha highlighted the pride this victory brings to the Union Territory, stating it will inspire young residents to pursue ambitious goals. Chief Minister Abdullah echoed these sentiments, commending the hard work and determination of the candidates.
Among the successful candidates, Suvan Sharma topped the list in the region with All India Rank 148, while others like Irfan Ahmad Lone, a differently-abled candidate, also made the Union Territory proud. This achievement is expected to inspire future aspirants to strive for excellence in civil services.
