In a compelling case of alleged fraud, two individuals have been accused of duping a hospital owner in Maharashtra's Thane district. The incident reportedly involves financial deception amounting to Rs 10 lakh.
The accused were initially partners in a Dombivli-based hospital, having invested Rs 63.20 lakh in 2016. Over the span of 2017 to 2021, they reaped profits of approximately Rs 1.28 crore.
Tensions arose when the pair withdrew from the partnership, demanding additional funds and convincing the owner to issue cheques worth Rs 1 crore. Police are now investigating the matter, as charges under cheating, breach of trust, intimidation, and defamation have been filed.
