The Delhi Police have successfully dismantled a significant operation involved in the distribution of counterfeit iPhone spare parts and accessories in Rohini. The operation led to the arrest of five shop owners and the seizure of fake items worth around Rs 1.6 crore, officials confirmed on Sunday.
Authorities conducted raids at five different shops located in a mall and Rohini Sector 3 market. Large quantities of fake parts such as back panels, batteries, and chargers were recovered. The shop owners, unable to provide valid authorization for selling iPhone products, were apprehended for selling these counterfeit items as genuine accessories.
The original sources of these counterfeit products are still under investigation. Police, with an authorized Apple's representative, confirmed the counterfeit nature of the seized goods. Efforts are ongoing to trace the supply chain behind this illegal operation, aimed at curbing the distribution of fake electronic accessories in the market.
