Two juveniles have been apprehended in connection with the alleged assault of a Manipuri woman who protested against harassment by a group of men in a south Delhi park, police confirmed on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday evening in Malviya Nagar, near the Saket District Court Complex, when the woman and her friend were accosted by the men. After one woman objected to their comments, tensions escalated to a verbal argument, eventually leading to an alleged physical assault.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated at Safdarjung Hospital. Police have formed teams to track down the remaining suspects, following successful initial raids that led to the apprehension of two juveniles. The authorities are in regular contact with the victim, and further legal actions hinge on her statement.
