Tensions Rise as New Iranian Leader Faces Regional Challenges

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said of Oman has extended his congratulations to Mojtaba Khamenei on his appointment as Iran's new supreme leader, according to a report by Oman's state news agency on Monday.

The Omani government continues to push for de-escalation and open dialogue as a means to resolve the current regional crisis stemming from ongoing conflicts involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran.

Recent tensions have heightened following a drone attack on Oman's commercial port of Duqm on March 3, orchestrated by Iran in response to military actions by the U.S. and Israel, signaling increased regional instability.
