In a significant legal development, RLD MLC Yogesh Nauhwar and four associates face serious accusations of document forgery and extortion, with claims of a Rs 5 crore demand emerging on Tuesday. The allegations, stemming from a court directive, threaten to embroil the politician in a legal and political quagmire.

Complainant Nidhi Agarwal, representing Ramhari Enterprises, accuses Nauhwar of attempting to seize land along a National Highway by producing forged documents. Agarwal claims Nauhwar threatened to claim ownership of the five-acre property unless the sum was paid.

Nauhwar, countering the allegations, alleges a conspiracy aimed at tarnishing his reputation. He points to two FIRs he filed against Agarwal and other alleged 'land mafia' to question the complaint's legitimacy. The case continues to unfold as investigators delve deeper into the conflicting claims.
