Rijiju fervently defended the Speaker's neutrality in legislative proceedings while accusing the Congress of deteriorating democratic principles since 2014.
Rijiju cited Birla's fair-handedness, providing ample opportunities for opposition dialogues, evidence of which he supported with statistical data. The motion, according to Rijiju, was a politically motivated maneuver targeting constitutional institutions, akin to an attack on democracy.
Beyond defending Birla, Rijiju criticized Rahul Gandhi's perceived immaturity, suggesting his sibling, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, might make a more effective opposition leader.
