A tragic incident unfolded in Jharkhand's Godda district when a tribal couple and their minor son were brutally killed. The police allege that the family was attacked by relatives over suspicions of practicing witchcraft.

According to Godda Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ashok Ravidas, the horrifying attack occurred in Danga Tola under Deodanr police's jurisdiction. Preliminary investigations indicate that accusations of witchcraft led to the family's murder. The police have arrested three individuals in connection with the case.

Deodanr police station officer-in-charge Amit Marki confirmed that the victims were identified as Darbari Murmu (55) and his wife Maki Baski (50), along with their 12-year-old son. As the investigation continues, the police have recovered the murder weapon and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital in Godda.
