Udhampur-Reasi range's Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sarah Rizvi, conducted a detailed review of security measures for the upcoming Navratri festival at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine.

Focusing on crowd control and safety, Rizvi instructed random vehicle checks and coordinated patrols involving Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF. Steps were outlined to manage the large influx of pilgrims anticipated.

Emphasis was placed on inter-agency coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the festival, with a call for rigorous verification drives and regular inspections of accommodations. The SSP presented a security plan to ensure visitor safety.
