Crackdown on Cross-Border Trafficking: Arrests in Karachi

Four individuals have been apprehended in Karachi by Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) following a raid on a hotel in the Sadar area. The suspects were allegedly part of a sex trafficking network that planned to transport 33 women to Dubai for prostitution.

The operation was prompted by a tip-off and resulted in the seizure of the women's passports. The FIA has intensified efforts to capture other members of the trafficking network.

In a related development, the agency successfully repatriated a young woman from Toba Tek Singh, who was a victim of sex trafficking in Oman. The FIA has filed charges under the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Act 2018 against the suspects.
