Punjab Police have apprehended six individuals, including a minor, connected to a cross-border arms smuggling network, according to official statements on Thursday.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav revealed that Amritsar commissionerate police arrested Gurpreet Singh, Manish Kumar, Saroop Singh, Chamkaur Singh, and Vansh Sharma. Authorities uncovered their connection with a Portugal-based handler for smuggling arms from Pakistan via drones.
Officers seized seven pistols during the operation, and further investigations are underway to fully dismantle this illegal network. Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, shared operational details leading to the arrests, and stressed ongoing efforts to uncover additional connections.
