PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has lashed out at the DMK government in Tamil Nadu, citing concerns over the state's law and order situation. Ramadoss pointed to a recent incident involving the rape and murder of a minor in Tuticorin as indicative of broader safety issues for women and children.
He criticized the police for their delayed response in apprehending the accused, Dharma Muneeswaran, noting that the arrest came nine days after the crime. According to Ramadoss, Muneeswaran, a history-sheeter, had been on bail despite previous similar offenses, calling into question the effectiveness of ongoing police surveillance.
Highlighting other incidences, including a gang rape in Coimbatore, Ramadoss argued that the failure to monitor known criminals led to these preventable tragedies. He emphasized the need for better police conduct and assured that post-April 23, the AIADMK-led NDA would address these safety concerns.
