In a dramatic turn of events, police arrested the primary suspect involved in the murder of hotel owner Vijay Mewada in Bhopal following an encounter on Wednesday.
The accused, Asif alias Bam, sustained a leg injury during the exchange and was subsequently admitted to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, officials confirmed.
The arrest occurred after the police tracked down Asif in a forest area, thanks to a tip-off, amid heightened community tensions and public protests.
