Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's absence during a key session in the Lok Sabha has highlighted issues of ministerial accountability. As an MP posed a question concerning the 'A Scheme for Promoting Innovation, Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship' (ASPIRE), Speaker Om Birla expressed concern over Manjhi's absence.
Birla urged the Parliamentary Affairs Minister to address the oversight and prevent similar occurrences, underscoring the importance of ministerial presence during such sessions.
Jitan Ram Manjhi, who took over the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in June 2024, previously served as the Chief Minister of Bihar from 2014 to 2015.
