The White House announced on Thursday a significant alteration to President Donald Trump's national security tariffs, affecting industrial and electrical grid equipment composed of steel, aluminum, and copper.
These tariffs will now be set at 15% through 2027, marking a reduction from the previous rate of 50%, aiming to bolster the expansive industrial growth within the United States.
Furthermore, products manufactured overseas using 100% U.S. materials will face a 10% import tariff, promoting the use of domestic resources.
