Major Drug Network Dismantled as Police Nab Kingpin Gulzar Ahmad

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have dismantled a significant narcotics network by arresting Gulzar Ahmad, alias Lau Gujjar, and his associates. Gujjar, involved in drug trafficking for over two decades, was caught with heroin and a Pakistani-made pistol. Investigations continue into the network's links and financial trails.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police announced a major breakthrough in their fight against drugs on Wednesday. They captured Gulzar Ahmad, also known as Lau Gujjar, a notorious figure in the narcotics trade.

A senior officer reported that Gujjar managed narcotic operations across state and national borders for over 20 years, marking him as a high-value target. Along with his associates, Gujjar was found in possession of heroin and a Pakistani-made pistol.

Authorities believe the network has been completely dismantled, but investigations into its connections and financial underpinnings continue. The police aim to uncover the routes used to bring drugs into India, suspecting links to Pakistan.
