A tragic incident unfolded in southeast Delhi's Kalkaji when a 28-year-old man was found hanging in a guest house room, police reported on Thursday. The man, identified as Mohammad Javed from Tajpur Pahadi, was discovered following a confrontation with a woman.
Checked into the guest house with the woman, his partner for nine years, Javed allegedly took his life using a chunni, tying it to a ceiling fan. The woman, a 24-year-old from the same locality, discovered Javed's body after waking up from sleep, prompting her to call for help.
Investigations continue to probe the circumstances of Javed's death, with initial evidence pointing toward suicide. No visible external injuries were reported, and the body was sent to AIIMS for an autopsy. Authorities also indicated the potential influence of substances at the time of the incident.
