In a case eerily similar to the high-profile Raja Raghuvanshi murder, authorities in the city arrested a woman for allegedly plotting, alongside her lover, to murder her husband using hired assassins. The victim, Naveen Patidar, was tragically found dead by a roadside under Rau police station jurisdiction on April 12, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shrikrishna Lalchandani.

The death initially appeared to be a hit-and-run, but an autopsy unveiled the grim truth: Patidar had been fatally shot in the neck. Investigations disclosed Patidar's wife, Bharti, had orchestrated the scheme with her paramour, Rahul Uike. Past grievances between Patidar and Uike, stemming from the latter's previous arrest due to Patidar's tip-off in a murder case, seemed to have fueled the murderous plot.

Further inquiries led to the revelation that Bharti and Uike recruited Mukesh Kumawat along with accomplices Ajay Dholpuriya and Shriram Balai to execute the murder on April 12. The conspirators allegedly shot Patidar at close range with a makeshift pistol. Authorities have since apprehended Bharti, Kumawat, Dholpuriya, and Balai, seizing vital evidence. Meanwhile, Uike remains at large, continuing to evade capture. The case mirrors last year's similar crime involving Raja Raghuvanshi's wife.
