Notorious Drug Peddler Detained under PIT-NDPS Act in Jammu

Mehraj Din, a notorious drug peddler from Bhaderwah tehsil in Jammu and Kashmir, was detained under the PIT-NDPS Act and placed in Udhampur district jail. With a criminal history involving six cases, his detention underscores the police's commitment to combating drug trafficking in the region.

Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have detained Mehraj Din, a well-known drug peddler, under the stringent Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act. The accused, a resident of Masjid Mohalla in Bhaderwah tehsil, has been involved in multiple narcotic-related offenses, prompting the preventive action. His criminal history reveals six registered cases under the PIT-NDPS Act at various police stations.
