Authorities have been urged to initiate prompt appointments.

The court, led by Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia, has directed the government to submit an affidavit detailing steps and timelines for filling the vacancies. A public interest litigation filed by Salek Chand Jain highlighted that since August 24, no members have occupied these roles.

Issuing a notice to the Delhi government, the court instructed an affidavit from a senior officer, explaining the lack of appointments since August 24, 2023. The matter awaits further hearings on August 12.
